Chevrons With Fondant Or Modeling Chocolate?

Which one is better to use for Chevrons on a cake?  Fondant or modeling chocolate?  I am planning on using the Jessicakes method...

i would use modeling choco


but say you want a pure white or something


use the fondant but chill it before handling so it doesn't stretch on you


and/or cut them out of thick fondant


and i would set a timer so i did not leave them in the chillbox too long


justa coupla minutes should be fine


you don't want to lose all elasticity so i would recommend using a timer


edited to say--oh but i do not know the jessicakes method so...???

It's a pretty great idea.


Also, with modeling chocolate I need to use the oil food colors, right?

it's brilliant!


yes oil or powder color for chococlay


and i would not put this in the frige at all!!!

You can use normal paste colours for modelling choc!
