AI'm new to cake decorating and this weekend is my stepdaughters 5th birthday and she wanted a 'My Little Pony' cake. I've got the cake done, frosted I'm at the point to put fondant on. I made marshmallow fondant. My question is can I put the cake back in the fridge after I put the fondant on? I've read both horror stories and stories of success. I live in East Texas and of course this weekend we went from nice cool weather back to 75 degrees and humid.

i do but like you've read it's such an individual choice
why not test a bit of whatever you're using and stick in the frige for a few and take it out for another few and see how that's striking yah
