Hi!. I'm new in this. I want to know how be the cost of a cake. Example: Like a 3 tier cake for a baby shower with baby butt in the top, that will be fondant, and 3 different color each tier.  Thanks for the help.

take your recipe, go to the supermarket and cost all the ingredients.

Recipes are different, shops charge different prices so everyone's cost will be different.

Ask the customer how many sevings, and then sort out how big each tier should be.  That will make some difference to price of ingredients.

Then you must add in for your time.  How much time? Only you know that.

Also, every area has a different market for cakes. You can check with some local bakeries to get an idea of what custom cakes cost in your location and then adjust pricing to accurately reflect your cost, time and ability.
