Hi all! :)

I would like to experiment with making my own molds for sugar paste relief work.

However I stay in a country where foodgrade silicone putty is not easily available or very

very expensive. I have searched the internet for alternatives for foodgrade silicone and could only get

one thread where someone suggested using marine aquarium silicone since it is foodsafe (I would

have to double check this before I consider baking a cake commercially!).

I have also read on this forum that people suggested using Gumpaste instead of the silicone.

I want to know if other members have tried their own versions of "silicone molding" with alternative mediums and what was your experience?
