happy new year : hope you had a blast in welcoming 2013.
i have attached a pic which was provided by my client. i am wondering how to attach or cover the cakes with cloth like fondant? Is it stacked then decorated? Does anyone can direct me to any link or tutorial that migt help me? Pls.... thank you in advance....
Looks like all the edges are folded. Roll it out thinnish, fold it and slap it on there. You don't have to be very neat about it. If does look like you're going to have to transport it finished. Let me suggest SPS for support.
I think where the cupids are they are a coverup possibly for seems..I could be wrong.
thanks for replying so soon =))
and im guessing i should start at the top to bottom? and shall i start with Big strips of fondant?
Since the lower strips are on top of the upper strips, yes you start a tthe top and work down.
AThe joins I would say are lined up at the back.
Keep your tiers 1" width difference to get the right shape.
This style is v popular ATM here. Looks like a lot of fondant to chew through, lol!
i just want to share how it turned out :
thanks for the tips ladies
