ADoes anyone know where I can get tall cake boxes? Like 8inches or more? Sometimes cakes with decorations or whatnot are tall and the regular cake boxes don't cut it...as I'm sure you all know :)

Use google for "deep cake box" you should be able to find the link to boxes that are 12x12x12 inches.  But be careful who you buy them from online...

AI buy 6" tall boxes from bakemark which helps with the smaller ones, but with up to a 16" tall cake, I make two boxes, staple the lids so they stick straight up, and flaps stick straight out, put the cake in the first one, then flip the second box over and around, and fit them together, then tape. Its sturdy and looks fine, and is easy to pre assemble the boxes, and slide the cake in, then allow the customer to view the cake. Then stick the second box over it and tape it up.

AI figured it out one day when it was pouring rain and I had an airbrushed cake, and was about to have a panic attack! That day, i slid a brand new white kitchen trash bag over yhe top, but its only necesary when it rains. I do it with all my cakes now. It doubles the cost, but I imagine a specialty box would cost at least that much.

AIf the boxes are for transportation only (as opposed to being presented to the customer in the box) we use moving boxes, Walmart sells them for cheap.

I split one side of the box in the corners so it opens and you can slide the cake in and out.  Then I tape up the sides and the box tops so they are standing.  If it's raining or I want extra top coverage I'll just put a piece of cling wrap on the top.   I don't leave the box.  It's just for delivery.

AHello ladies, I am new to the circle so please forgive any repetitive questions. Has anyone tried their local restaurant depot? I don't know how deep or tall you need, but they do stock them, and they can be bought in small batches as well.
