Hi , is it advisable to make a wedding cake using an American sponge recipe ?? My friend really likes the taste and texture but everytime i make this cake the sides shrink in when baked. I am afriad the marzipan and fondant will be too heavy for this sponge. Advice , or another recipe I can try would be great PLEASE . !!
