AHi everyone

I am making a cake for my brothers and I wanted to use an edible image so I ordered one but today when it arrived I realized the Italian flag I put on it is in the wrong order (damn google Images) . I wanted to know if I can put piping jelly directly on the image and then apply sprinkles to it. I wasn't sure if it would smudge. Please tell me this is possible. If anyone has any opinions or another idea please please please respond.

AThe image will dissolve. Instead, I would cut the image then place it in the correct order
