Hello,

 

Can anyone tell me how i would create the frills on this beautiful cake?

If you do a search you should find lots of results for detailed instructions on how to do these frills but they are basically just strips of fondant or gumpaste with one edge thinned and ruffled with a ball tool and then attached to the cake.  HTH!

lollypop 22, You can do ruffles from tube 104 with butter cream icing if you prefer.  It might not look exactly like the picture of the cake you had.  Here is a link below. They are using petal tip (rose tip) either tip 104 or for bigger ruffles you can use the 124 or 125  tip. Anyway here is the link below.

Not even sure if you would be interested but it is an option instead of  doing fondant. Both are done in butter cream.
