Question About Caramel

I have been trying to make turtles and on the back of my turtles the caramel is leaking out.  Does anyone know what causes this?  Thanks bunches.....Wrenie4

You'll need to give lots more info. What are the turtles made of? What recipes are you using? etc etc.

If you are cooking the caramel yourself, you need to cook it to a higher temperature.

 

So check the calibration of your candy thermometer by immersing it into boiling water.  Or else look up the table of hardness for testing by dropping candy into a cup of cold water.
