I need to buy cake bling for a wedding cake.  They have bling at Michael's craft store.  It looks just like cake bling.  Is it the same thing?  or do I need to buy special cake bling?

I'm not sure what you are seeing at Micheals so I can't say if it is food safe.

This is a company I like & recommend for all types of "bling" (diamonds, cake bands, cake brooches)  Diamond Party Confetti . com.

Diamond Party Confetti all the way!  Beautiful products at a great price and great shipping rates too.  I have never seen anything that really looks that great at Michael's for rhinestone strands.  Only really plastic-y stuff.  The cake banding and DPC is really beautiful and sparkly.  You can also easily cut the strands apart so if you were going to keep using this stuff you can save yourself some $ by buying 10 yards (I think that's where the price discount comes in... maybe it's 12...) of 5 or 6 deep and be able to use it for alllll different needs of sizes and lengths.
