Hi everyone, i want to try Jennifer Dontz candy clay but we don't get corn syrup hereicon_sad.gif.Any ideas on what I can use instead ?Thanking you in advance and looking forward to hearing from you.

You don't say WHERE you are so my answer may or may not help you

 

IN Australia you can substitute Liquid Glucose

Golden syrup from cane sugar will work the same. Dilute with about 20% water.

 

Maple syrup will NOT work.

Sorry I should have mentioned I'm in England .icon_redface.gif We get golden syrup and liquid glucose , which would be the better option ?

AYou can get corn syrup from amazon.co.uk.

If you don't want to buy that, liquid glucose diluted slightly would be better than golden syrup.

Also available from USA Food Store online or shop in London - Karo light corn syrup.

Liquid glucose will be your best substitute  - I have used it many many times for this

 

Golden syrup is..... well  GOLDEN !!  - it will add colour to your chocolate clay and never really end up being as firm as you will need.
