Hi,

Has anyone used fondant decorations on a cream cheese iced cake?

I would like to do a carrot cake with cream cheese icing, but I want some fondant flowers atop to make the cake really pop.

thanks,

I've put fondant on whipped cream covered cakes and brushed the backs with a thin layer of melted chocolate to act as a barrier between the fondant and the frosting. Should work the same with cream cheese.

I made a crusting cream cheese icing on red velvet cake recently and it was pretty much covered with fondant decorations. Used the cream cheese to pipe on the back of fondant pieces to attach them and they were great.
