This has prob been discusses many times but cant find answers. Can I decorate a cake with cream cheese icing like I do buttercream? Also can creamcheese icing be colored like buttercream? A friend wants a monster high cake and requested creamcheese icing but I wasn't sure if I can do a themed cake with details using creamcheese. Thanks for any help.

Yes, you can ice and decorate and pipe and color cream cheese icing, it just depends on the recipe. You also need to consider having refrigerated space if you are decorating it ahead of time so the icing doesn't sit out too long.

Thanks! Do you or anyone else have a recipe that is good for decorating creamcheese icing? Also do you crumb coat with the creamcheese icing also?

I use it to crumbcoat, fill, decorate, etc.

I haven't tried it but don't see why it wouldn't work. Give it a try.
