So I did a large group fondant thing and was trying to think of a way they can use the corn starch. I've heard big "no no's" for using nylons and getting shakers or those dinky wilton ones is too expensive.

So the answer is cloth diapers!! Not the tri-fold ones, but the big thin ones.

They're 100% cotton! And they work great! I cut one up into 6 and sewed the raw edges, but you can probably get even more out of it

Thought I'd share!

<dry wit>Obviously you don't want to do this with diapers that have been used for their usual purpose.</dry wit>

I would think that "Regency natural spice bags" would be another possibility.

I can't imagine any good reason why brand new nylon stockings would be an issue. Nylon is actually used for dish scrubbers and some utensils like spatulas......
