Colouring Fondant

If gel or paste colours are unavailable how does one colour fondant with the powdered colours?

Just knead it into the fondant. If it is lumpy strain it 1st.
You could also mix the powder color w/any thing like lemon extract; gin or vodka to a paste and paint the object.

Seriously. SIFT IT FIRST. Or else you could end up with splotches or lumps of color in your paste.
