Hey everyone. Got a quick question. I baked a 10" cake last night around 9 and my alarm didn't go off to get it when it cooled. I woke up at 5:30 this morning t realize I slept through and didn't put it away. Do you think its srill good? Should i just toss and start over?

I personally think it will be fine.

Spray it with a little sugar syrup and it will recoup any of the moisture that it may have lost overnight.

If it's a WASC it should be fine. I took some cc out of the freezer saturday and got "kidnapped" by my son. Got home yesterday and decided to eat them. They were still okay. The sour cream helps keep them moist. HTH

I'm sure it will be fine. But if you're concerned, just brush the layers with some simple syrup. You can flavour it as well with a complimentary flavouring if you wish.
