I am making small bug cakes from a molded pan for my 2 yr old granddaughter's birthday. I found a great cake recipe that I want to try but am undecided on how to frost them( they are adorable on the picture). It looks like it may have been done with a glaze type frosting (petit four?) and colored sugars /sprinkles. Any sure fire suggestions?

Make this recipe and dip the little cakes into it (stick a fork in the bottom to hold them).

Use it lukewarm. You can colour it for example do some yellow, add some red to get orange, then add more red to get red bugs. Pipe on black accents.

Thanks so much for the tip. I think the pan is from Wilson come to think of it! I will surely give it a try. icon_smile.gif
