Does anyone know the font used on the cake at

I personally think that is hand painted free form on the cake and not "typed"out with any type of machine or anything. But I might be wrong.

I agree. I think it's hand painted. If you look at multiples of the same letters (i.e. the lower case "e"s and "l"s) you can tell they're not identical. If it were printed out in a font, there would be no variation. But if you'd rather print it out, there are several sites online to find free fonts, and many of them let you search by type. One site I like is dafont.com. A font like this would be in the "script" category. Try calligraphy or handwritten.

Also, it's very difficult to find a font that connects the letters the way that writing is connected. One more reason I think it's hand painted.

Not necessarily. If you look at any font generator like for example this one

http://www.dafont.com/prophecy-script.font

type your text in 'Custom preview' and click submit, it will show you how it's going to look. The only problem is identifying the exact type of script icon_sad.gif Sorry, can't be of more help.
