Hi,

I am fairly new to the cake making world, and have been asked to make a batman cake for a friedns birthday. I am planning to do a blue background with a batman sign in yellow and black on top. However I'm struggling to know what sugarpaste/fondant to use to cover the cake. I've used regalice before but really not keen on taste or useability. What do other people use and where do you buy it? I have heard mixed reviews about M&B sugarpaste and really don't want to mess this up! I'd rather buy a coloured sugarpaste as I don't fancy attempting colouring my own until I have more confidence. Help please!!

Hi,

I;m not sure where you are located and if you have access to cake supplies. But, I use Satin Ice Fondant (i buy from my local cake store) but there are several online places like: Global Sugar Art, Caljava International etc. There are plenty of other brands that others use. I have used ChocoPan fondant but its a little pricey.

Maybe, some other members will share what they use too.

I too prefer to buy my Black and Red fondant instead of coloring it myself.

Good Luck
