I've seen tons of recipes for pink lemonade cupcakes online and they all look so yummy! I was just wondering if anyone's ever made them and what frosting they used. I would love to try them this weekend for a church event with cream cheese icing, but I'm not sure I can imagine what cream cheese icing would taste like with a lemon-y cupcake. Anyone ever done a lemon and cream cheese flavor combo?

Hope I'm not double posting but first one didn't take.
Lemon/creamcheese is delicious. Think old time icebox lemon cheesecake. Try it and let us know which recipe you decided on. Good luck.

I made mini pink lemonade cupcakes with a Rasberry IMBC this past weekend. It was delish. I used the pink lemonade cupcakes recipe from food.com:

Actually now that I think about it, I remember trying a pink lemonade cupcake with cream cheese frostin from a local bakery. The cupcake kind of got lost in the cream cheese flavor (that's the only frosting for cupcakes the bakery used). I might give it a try with my own cream cheese recipe thou.

I have made lemonade cupcakes with a doctored cake mix recipe and a lemonade cream cheese icing... neither were pink lemonade, but you could certainly substitute.

I know these aren't exactly what your post was requesting but maybe you can adapt them somehow. I made them last week and they were awesome and a real hit with everyone that tried them!

I'm new here and love this site. I'm a hobby baker but this is one I make a lot in the summer. I make pink lemonade cupcakes with a buttercream frosting. I use 2 sticks butter, 4 cups powdered sugar (sifted), 1T Madagascar vanilla, and 2-4 T frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate (thawed). It makes a really yummy frosting. I add a bit of gel color if I want it more pink. It's one of the favorites at my house. Hope that helps!

I just made some a couple of months ago from recipes I found online. They were delicious! I made them for a baby shower:

Here's the recipe for pink lemonade cupcakes and pink lemonade frosting:

I think the ingredients that made the frosting taste so lemony were the real lemon zest and pink lemonade concentrate.

P.S. I think cream cheese frosting would taste great with the pink lemonade cupcakes.
