How To Disassemble A Stacked Cake Without Removing The Icing

I am fairly new to cake decorating but am having trouble with my stacked cakes, the first issue is after some time they begin to leasn to one side and the other is when it is time to disassemble the tiered/stacked cake the icing always come off of the bottom layer and it is a big messicon_sad.gif
please help

You can use a circle of waxed paper or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

I also use powdered sugar on the cake before I place the next layer.

Cake that leans to one side means that you didn't dowel properly inside.

Cut all the dowels for each tier to the same length and make sure all the ends are square and flat.

Put two rings of dowels into the bottom 2 tiers if you are stacking 4 or 5.
