Hi yall, I am new to the cake world and I am having a problem with my fondant drying out while I'm coloring it and when I am kneading it.
*Should I only use crisco when I am kneading it or coloring it?
Yes use an all vegetable shortening. I like to put a light coating on my hands and then work it into the fondant (as needed).
I use a little glycerine , and I find that helps a lot with dryness and helps stop crazing when you colour fondant.
