I recently purchased the CakeBoss software and am still trying to figure it out. Can anybody that does have it, tell me how to record a payment?

They have a whole list of video tutorials on the program. Have you watched those? They are under the help section and there is also an icon that says "Video" at the bottom of the program screen. They also have the tutorials at the cakeboss website at http://www.cakeboss.com/HowTo2010.aspx
Watch through all of them and you should get a good sense of how to operate the program.

When you open up an order go to the Financials tab for the order. On the right hand side of that window it shows the scheduled payment due date. In that same record the second column says Date Paid and you put in the date you received payment. Since many orders have a deposit and a final payment. You can have multiple rows on the Due/Date Paid info. Also because of this you need to make sure on the Order Info tab, you mark the order status to Paid.

The videos are fantastic. Definitely take the time to watch them.
