I need to make a dozen Batman emblem out of sugar paste. And since I don't have a cutter will be ding them by hand... Can I do them a week before and store them the same way you store the sugar paste?

I don't see any reason you can't do these ahead and let them dry. They will be easier to handle when you put them on the cake.

Is sugar paste the same thing as gumpaste? If so, then yes you can make them in advance. I made gumpaste flowers recently and stored them in a box until I was ready to use them. This way they dried and set up nicely. And I didn't have to worry when it came time to place them on the cake.
