I am going to make a carousel cake this weekend. I have the wilton carousel kit. How do I color the plastic horses? I tried fondant but failed. My next guess is royal icing! I would love to get feedback! Thanks!

Decorate horses in thinned royal icing. Brush mane, bridle, saddle, tail and hooves; let dry. Brush with white Pearl Dust.

Thanks so much for your response! I used royal icing (for the first time) and horses came out beautiful! I love working with royal icing!!!
