I am looking for some ideas/tips on creating buttercream icing. I have tried the Wilton recipe but it does not have the taste that I am looking for. I have tried a recipe that asks for unsalted butter instead of shortening but no matter the quantity of butter that I use it still tastes like I am eating butter although the creaminess that I am looking for is there. Does anyone have any ideas/tips/recipes that they can suggest? Thanks[/quote]
Have you tried to increase the amount of flavoring the recipe calls for? For example, beating in an extra teaspoon of vanilla until the taste is what you want?
