i am making a birthday cake for a friend of a friend. they want red velvet with cream cheese icing and covered in fondant. he has to pick the cake up the day before his girlfriends birthday and doesn't have a fridge. will the cake be ok to sit at room temp for this long with cream cheese??

I always refrigerate cream cheese. I'm pretty sure it has to be refrigerated.
