I painted a pice of gumpaste with gel food coloring and vodka paint. It dried a little darker than I would have liked. Is there any way I can lighten it?

In future, use scraps to test the paint.

For now, it depends on what you painted. Maybe you have a lighter dusting powder?

I don't but maybe if I brush over it with just vodka to lighten the paint a little bit?

If you try a small corner, brush and immediately blot with paper towel to take off the wet mixture.

I personally, would just clean the whole peice with vodka and smooth paper towel.Just keep cleaning it with clean areas of the paper towel. It will all come off. Let it dry, start over. Done it plenty times. hth
