This is part of my usual cake-prep anxiety that you all have been so patient about each time I go through this. It seems like there's always something new I have to deal with ---

Like, how do I attach this fondant/gp figure so she doesn't fall over? She's standing on two feet and right now is upright with a toothpick coming out of each leg into styrofoam. I'm just afraid that once it gets into the softer cake/bc that she'll topple. What should I do to secure her?

If you don't think the toothpicks are long enough, could you attach a longer skewer somehow?

Next time you make a figurine put thin skewers in the kegs and let them go a few inches longer then the legs to have length to set it into the cake.
For now, I would take plastic drinking straws. Fill them with royal icing, and set the already existing toothpicks into the royal icing. Let dry. Now you have the same thing as long skewers.
