Hi everybody,
I have to make a 9" round angel food cake covered in fondant. Any suggestion how that cake holds the weight of fondant. Also any tips for better cake. Do I still need to put it upside down for two hours even its not in tube pan? Thanks

I've never done it, but I would guess that the weight of the fondant will crush it. Any batter cake would be better.

I covered a choc chifon cake with fondant and it crushed. I think the same will happen with angel food.

That cake will never hold any weight. You would be wasting your time. Unfortunately, it is a great tasting cake but it far too light to hold much of anything. Good luck.
