Anyone have any ideas on how to construct a center pole system that does not require screws etc.

I know how to build nice heavy duty wooden stands with a pvc pipe center pole thanks to instructions from a very helpful cc member, but I was looking for something a little more disposable for lack of a better word.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

For normal height 3-tier cakes--a dowel rod hammered through all tiers and into the cake drum below.
