Hi everyone! I was hoping for any helpful advice on how to color frosting black. Using the frosting from tubs (like Duncan Hines) and also homemade frosting. Thanks!
Hi, some decorators say on this site, they start with chocolate , then add wilton black or americolor black. I have always just used black . I stop at a certain point , because as it sits, it will get blacker. Any color gets darker as it sits. I am afraid to start with chocolate, (just in case someone is alergic to chocolate or simply doesn,t like chocolate. I have a friend that does not like the taste of chocolate on anything. This is the way i have colored icing for 18 yrs. Some others will give their point of view.
