HI Im to make a 50 cake for my friends parents she wants a plain white but iwould like to put some gold on the cake maybe ribbon around it also the number 50 somewhere on the cake made out of fondant and gumpaste what food coloring could i use? That would look good? Thanks for your input need asap

You'll want to make a paint using gold luster or highlighter dust mixed with clear alcohol (vodka, grain alcohol) or lemon juice, if you don't have alcohol.
