Hello cake central!
I am making a cake for this Satuday. I don't have any time Friday night so I was wondering if it would be okay to bake the cake tonight (wednesday) decorate it Thursday for a party Saturday's afternoon. I'm doing a vanilla cake with chocolate ganache filling and buttercream frosting.
Sure it will be fine. If possible keep it in the frig. Usually I don't recommend frig'ing cakes - especially b'cream - but I know most areas of the US are HOT now and you would be much better off. Box it up, then slip that into a plastic bag.
