I made a sponge cake two days ago, put buttercream on and then fondant. The cake has already dried out!
I have never had this problem before........is there any way I can rescue it and make it moist again?????
That sure is odd. I c an't say I have ever had a cake dry out once covered w/icing - either fondant or b'cream.
It must have been overbaked. That most always is the reason for a dry cake.
Trifle! I'm sure it would be delicious.
