How can I make a dog house out of gum paste like in the photo below? I see that it is hollow inside, how can I make it where it won't fall apart?

Go to wilton.com and look at the left hand side. There is a button marked "pattern locator" that links you to all Wilton paper patterns since 1977. Into the search box type "dog house" and the pattern will come up in pdf format (you need free Acrobat Reader).

So then you cut all the pieces of brown paste, add details with small tools, and dry them flat. Make some brown royal icing to stick the pieces together. Use styrofoam blocks to hold the pieces up until the icing dries.

You can also make thin layers of chocolate candymelts on parchment paper, and cut the shapes out.
