Morning all icon_biggrin.gif

Just a little question... I am making my mum a giant cupcake for her belated birthday cake and I do have a chocolate cupcake recipe, my question is will it be okay if I was to double the normal cupcake recipe would it still come out okay? I am concerned that it won't rise properly or that something will happen as I did read somewhere that you can't always just double a recipe and it will come out perfect due to the chemistry of the ingredients or something. All advice/tips will be greatly appreciated. thumbs_up.gif

Are you thinking of doubling it so as you have enough for both parts of the pan?

If so - (and because i don't know your recipe)....
Play it safe and make two seperate batters....
Any left over - make some cupcakes and freeze them for another day..... OR..... decorate them as you would the large cupcake cake....and have them sitting on a serperate stand for other guests to perhaps take home.... just a thought.
