The WASC gourmet recipes.... I'd like to try a few of those, do you think it's possible to take 3 or 4 different recipes (one's that start w/ a basic white cake mix) and make the one batch, but be able to split that batter before adding the ingriedents that make it specific to each flavor. (does that make sense?) I'm wondering if you think it would work, or if there's a certain way it should be done, if anyone's tried this?
I'm not postive which flavors i'd want to try...but I do know i want to do the Orange Dreamsicle..so starting with that one, and maybe finding 3 others if possible....

Any ideas?

I have never cooked WASC, I use my own Butter Cake recipe but I have done it by adding cocoa to half the mixture and it has worked. Next weekend I am going to try the strawberry lemonade and I will be splitting it before I add the liquid and adding the flavour with the milk

I bake from scratch and have done it. I needed a vanilla cake for a wedding and lemon for some cupcakes. I made a double batch and filled the cake pans, then added the zest and the extract and made the cupcakes.

I use wasc all the time and do this. I have quartered it but I use a kitchen scale. Any time you scale recipes the hardest part is the eggs. So I like to do it so that I can keep the eggs or egg whites equal. You also have to do things like adjust 1/3 cup into tablespoons to get some of the liquids divisable by 4.

thanks everyone! I appreciate all the comments.
Sillywabbitz: can i ask which of those posted flavors you've tried and liked? So far, in full batches I've used the smores (which i thought was eh, just okay), white chocolate, and cimmamon roll which was super yummy!
I'm just planning on doing this for my daughters birthday..i wanted to have abuncha cupcakes for all the kids and probably adults too to decorate with fun toppings. (Candy Themed Party) Her cake itself is just vanilla/chocolate so I thought this would be a good time to try out some different flavors and get opinions!

Most of my favorites have alcohol in them so that's probably not best for a kids party even though it's a very very small amount of alcohol.

Non-alcoholic flavors that I love
Lemonliscous which isn't even really wasc but it's in that list and it's super lemony and tart which I love

Although I haven't made them, the Root Beer float and dreamcicle seems to be very popular kid flavors. Also I love chocolate cupcakes filled with the eggless chocolate chip cookied dough filling. Which would be fun for kids. I can't remember if the cookie dough filling is on that list or not but it's on my blog http://www.keeponcaking.com/2010/10/chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-fillingfrosting/

For the alcoholic flavors, I love the Mimosa and I've adjusted it to make a straight champagne as well as bellini cake. The guiness chocolate cake is awesome especially filled with Irish Cream filling. Honestly I use a lot of those recipes as a base and fuss with them. I have a really good strawberry cake that is based on WASC and adjusted from a combination of an old family recipe and those awesome flavors on that thread. If you want it let me know and I'll go dig it out.

I hope that helps.

I've never cooked WASC but when I'm making a larger batch of cupcakes with multiple flavors I always just split up the batter and make different flavors. Last year for a sales class I made 6 different flavor cupcakes only using a box of vanilla cake(raspberry lemonade, pb&j, and oreo) and a box of chocolate cake(better than sex, bacon, and reeces pieces)
