Can anyone give me any recommendations on using the KA pasta roller. Maybe my fondant is too wet? I am using Linda McClure's recipe. What happens is that the fondant comes out worse then it goes in. Gum paste is sticking underneath on the rubber scrappers. Am I making sense? So it is pulling the fondant apart and putting holes in it. Thanks for any advice!
Yah, I had that problem too Clean the rollers. Use a damp, soapy paper towel then Lightly coat w/shortening. OR lightly coat the gumpaste but best to do the rollers. As I remember that's what helped me.
I use a pastry brush and brush the shortening on to the rollers, let it roll a bit brush on a bit more and roll again. It took a little time to get my process just right but you will love the pasta roller.
