Ok so I want to make a Hello Kitty cake for my daughter's second birthday. Is it ok to make it and post pictures online?

Without the permission of the copyright owner (Sanrio), copying a picture of Hello Kitty on the cake would be copyright infringement, even if the cake was not sold.

However, if you don't post any pictures (and make sure no one else does either) the chances of getting caught are practically zero.

So how do I go about getting permission?
