Hey, I am about to make a cake that needs to be pretty well covered in liquid painted luster dust. I am wondering, will the type of alcohol I use add flavor to the fondant? Lemon is recommended as it has the highest alcohol content, but will my cake end up tasting of lemon?? Thanks! -DG

Hi! I don't use lemon, I use everclear as it evaporates quicker...BUT, I took a class with the incedible Earlene Moore and she swears (actually she does'nt curse at all) by Lemon Extract not for the alcohol content but because there aer trace oils from the lemon that make the "painting smoother....and no, it won't taste like lemon at all, and it won't taste like everclear either if you decide to use that ... HTH!
