Hi all! The last few weeks have been so crazy (but good!) with weddings that I fear I'm a little "fried" and just can't seem to get it together for a design for this cake...thankfully its not due until December! Anyway, it is for a man's 50th birthday with a Motown theme....the only thing they want for sure is some type of "gold record cake". Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have checked the galleries here and have seen a few things, but nothing's really catching my eye. I am pretty sure that I will be doing a 8" round on top of a 10" square to give her about 50 party servings, but am open to other suggestions...anything! Please help if you can!! TIA!

What about doing an old fashioned record player with a gold record on the turntable. Or a cute one would be a diner with small plastic cars parked outside and you could name the diner the Gold Record Diner and decorate the outside with mini gold records - they usually have jukeboxes.......hence the record connection..
