Can I cover a cake (12") with fondant if the center of the cake is still frozen, or will the fondant bulge after the cake completely thaws?

The fondant will sweat and may have permanent marks from the droplets of condensation that will form if the cake is frozen when covered.

I was in a rush and did this with my last cake, the fondant ended up with a bulge.
I used the straw technique to get rid of it so it was saved in the end.
Next time I will wait for it to thaw completely!! icon_smile.gif
