I would like to make a 2 tier taperd cake similar to this http://www.flickr.com/photos/cakesuniquebyamy/4939889840/ (minus the top tier)

Do I stack these cakes regular, or do I stack them as if I'm making a topsy turvy (cut a portion out of the bottom layer, add support, and then place the top layer on top)?

Your guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

Theres no need to do that. Simply stack it as normally as you would any other tiered cake. Make sure you have enough support all around.

Stack as usual. No special cutting required.
