I have a client that wants a round cake with an upside down ship on top. Not sure if anyone is famillar with the band "Hedley" but she wants it to look like their album cover, ive never done this before. Any suggestion!!

Thanks!!

Do they prefer a 3d ship or a drawing on a cake.

How large of a cake?

Big Event Cake or just a simple cake? There's nice things you can do but time = $$ , so how complicated are you willing to get?

It's a cool theme but I need more information

I can't really suggest until I know the parameters of the job.
But here's something to think about

Ship could be made of fondant. Sails can be draped down the layers. Clouds can be airbrushed or fondant cutouts

Wow that is amazing thanks Lynne3!!!
Im going to suggest that to her, what she has asked for is a small single layer cake with the ship 3D on top. I was thinking of making it out of gumpaste but im not sure.. this is a totally new one for me icon_smile.gif

Lynne3 what program do you use to make the cake drawing? This looks great! Good luck Goober Cakes!

I do a lot of graphic work with photoshop elements. It helps with scale and balance, and lets me think through a cake better then a sketch pad.
