How do i make a gumpaste bowl for the top of a stanley cup wedding cake. Can i mold it to a plastic bowl and let it harden or will it stick?

Yep. But I would form it over the outside of the bowl turned upside down. That would be easier to get it on smooth that way. And make sure you coat your bowl with shortening then cornstarch or powdered sugar. Then it shouldn't stick. When I do this I keep rotating the gumpaste around every once in a while afte rit has started to harden. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I do it to help it not stick.

I did one in January. I actually used the 1/2 of the Wilton Sports Ball Pan, lightly crisco and corn starch the inside, roll out grey gumpaste about 1/8" thick, place inside of bowl, cut neatly around the edge so it is clean. Let dry overnight. Then in the morning I moved it around to make sure it wasn't sticking. And let it dry a few more days. Then add accents and airbrush silver. Hope that helps!
