A friend asked me to make a couple cakes for her.... She wants a 10 inch cake. I have Wilton cake pans (2 inches).. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me what you charge for just a 10 inch cake, no top tier or anything....

Thanks for any feedback...

Do some price comparisons in your area(not from a grocery store bakery). Figure out what your costs are(time and $).
Price points are different in different areas so it would be difficult to tell you exactly what to charge. HTH

So many different aspects enter into pricing, including but not limited to: location, experience, fondant or b'cream, etc.
From the little info you have given us it's hard to even begin to help you.....

Is the cake going to be 10x4" OR 10"x2"?
What flavor cake and type of icing?
How much decorting will there be - just minimun (what some might call 'writing & roses') or highly decorted?
Gumpaste &/or fondant flowers or other decorations?

As you can see the range can be anywhere from about $30 to $150! for that same cake icon_smile.gif
