Hello all,

I am going to be doing a damask cake next month and I'm starting to prepare for it now. I plan to hand pipe a damask pattern all around the cake. But my biggest question is how do I make sure it is evenly spaced all around? Not only between the patterns, but also from top to bottom. If I measure it out, what is the best way to mark where to pipe? Also, Howw do you guys feel about using a stencil with buttercream?

I thank everyone so much in advance for help.
