I have been ask to make a wedding cake next weekend and the bride is wanting fresh roses. I have never used fresh flowers on a cake. Can someone give me some tips on what i should and should not to do. I am kind of neverous about using them. I surely do not want to do the wrong thing but i see lots of people on here using them so I know its safe.Im just not sure if there is a trick to it.Like do i put somthing under or around the rose so it does not touch the cake? This is a pic of the cake she is wanting me to go off of. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

If you have a library close by in the book "Martha Stewart's Wedding Cakes" Wendy Kromer gives a very detailed explanation of how she puts things together using fresh flowers near the end of the book.
